This morning we head into theCotswolds and visit Moreton in the Marsh wherethere is an opportunity to explore the hugeTuesday market. This afternoon we make our way to the pretty Cotswold villageof Broadway, a delightful place often referred toas the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’.
Today we explore Oxford, known asthe ‘City of the Dreaming Spires’ – a term firstcoined by poet Matthew Arnold in reference tothe gentle spires and harmonious architecture ofthe city’s university buildings. Popularattractions include beautiful riverside settings,stunning film and TV locations and shops withlocal character, restaurants, pubs and theatres.
Today we head into the southern Cotswolds where this wonderful scenictour takes in some of the most perfect picturepostcardvillages of middle England. We arrive atStow-on-the- Wold, then on to Bourton-on-the-Water, a renownedCotswold village.
After breakfast we depart and head forhome.
