Christmas In The Scottish Highlands Gold

Sunday
We depart and make our way north arriving late afternoon at the Shap Wells Hotel for our overnight inclusive of dinner, bed and breakfast.

Monday
Continuing our journey, we arrive at the Highlander Hotel in time for a welcome drinks reception before dinner this evening, followed by musical entertainment.

Christmas Eve
Excursion to Grantown -on -spey and the Speyside Heather Centr. Tonight is Traditional Highland Night with a 5 course meal,piping in the haggis, and, of course a wee dram,with Scottish entertainment.Look out for Santa and his team of Cairngorm reindeer. For those wishing to attend Midnight Mass at the village Church of Scotland,mulled wine and hot mince pies will be served on your return

Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! Enjoy a relaxing morning opening your presents. Traditional Christmas Lunch is served – 6 courses of complete indulgence and a gift from Santa. After lunch maybe take a stroll around the village or retire to the lounge and enjoy a board game. Dinner tonight is buffet style, followed by an evening of entertainment.

Boxing Day
We have a morning excursion to the beautiful Glenmore Forest Park and the Cairngorm Ski Centre. Later we head for the Highland Capital – Inverness where we take our seats for an afternoon of funand laughter at the Eden Court Theatre for the Christmas Pantomime. We return to the hotel for dinner and our final night of music and entertainment.

Friday
We depart after breakfast and make our way back to Shap for our final overnight with dinner,bed and breakfast.

Saturday
After breakfast we depart for home.

Your Hotel

We stay in the picturesque Highland village of Newtonmore at the Highlander Hotel, where the restaurant, bar and lounge are warm and welcoming and during your stay entertainment is provided each evening with first class musical entertainment. All bedrooms are en suite with TV, hairdryer & tea/coffee making facilities.

The hotel does not have a lift.
