Bishops Palace, Wells
The Bishop's Palace and accompanying Bishops House at Wells in the English county of Somerset, is adjacent to Wells Cathedral and has been the home of the Bishops of the Diocese of Bath and Wells for 800 years. It has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade I listed building.
Visitors can also enjoy the Bishop's private Chapel, explore the ruined Great Hall and meet the famous mute swans who live alongside the moat and ring a bell when they want food.
For younger visitors, there is a brand new children's play area, "The Dragon's Lair" hidden away in the Arboretum; use the story map to discover the dragon's secret's and find your way there!
