We depart and make our way north and our hotel for the next 4 nights with dinner, bed & breakfast.
During your stay
• We head for the coast and South Shields, home of the late Catherine Cookson.• Marsden Bay, Whitburn and Seaburn before turning inland across to the ancient and historic city of Durham dominated by the magnificent Norman cathedral and castle, high above the River Wear.• Visit to historic Alnwick with time to look around the town, with its mighty castle.• Morpeth for a short break.• A free day for you to explore and enjoy Newcastle. Just a short walk along the quayside from your hotel is the Millennium ‘Winking Eye’Bridge and Newcastle’s famous quayside.

After breakfast we depart for home.
