We depart and make our way to Derbyshire and our hotel where we enjoy the next 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
During your stay
• Visit to Matlock for some free time before we leave for our visit to Haddon Hall – probably the finest example of a fortified medieval manor house still in existence.• Sheffield & Renishaw Hall – Explore Sitwell family home, Italianate gardens, statues, ponds, woodlands, and a collection including Cecil Beaton’s work.• De Bradelei Mill, Belper – Visit shopping village in historic Derwent Valley mill, dating back to the Industrial Revolution.• Melbourne Hall Gardens, the hall is the private residence of Lord and Lady Kerr who initiated an imaginative planting scheme in the gardens, including shrubs, specimen trees, and a unique collectionof magnolias and roses. Today, it is a garden of rare beauty.
Friday
After breakfast we depart home.
