Spend a weekend visiting York’s St Nicholas Fayre, which takes up most of the city and Leed’s Christkindlmarkt, a German Market in the Millennium Square. Plenty of time to enjoy these markets and savour the Christmas atmosphere.

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north to Yorkshire and to the small market town of Easingwold for a three night stay.
Day 2 St Nicholas Fayre brings magical stalls and merriment to York. Soak up the atmosphere and aromas of mulled wine whilst you enjoy York’s ultimate Christmas experience. Traditional chalets are situated along Parliament Street, St Sampson’s Square and the Judge’s Lodging, selling locally-made handcrafted gifts. Explore Davygate and Coppergate for inspired gifts and stocking filler ideas or sample the local flavours at the famous Shambles Market. If you have had enough of shopping, why not visit one of the many wonderful attractions York has to offer.
Day 3 Leeds Christkindlmarkt located in Millennium Square which is transformed into a scenic winter village with over 40 traditional wooden stalls, decorated with festive greenery and twinkling lights, themed indoor venues and the traditional Christmas carousel ride. This is a continental style festive shopping experience with a variety of gifts, including toys, jewellery and unique festive decorations. There will be a range of seasonal food and drink including traditional German delicacies, glühwein, bratwurst sausages, schnitzels, goulash, stollen (Christstollen at Christmas), gingerbread, roasted nuts and candied fruits.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.

Holiday Hotel The Hawkhills Hotel
Located outside the small market town of Easingwold, this elegant stately home, built in the 1700s is steeped in heritage and has been extensively and sympathetically modernised. The charming building is set within 240 acres. All bedrooms have a shower room, TV, hairdryer WiFi, tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries. Lift, lounge, restaurant and gym.
Please note: All garden view bedrooms are NOT located in the manor house, but a 50m walk through the gardens to the rooms. This new build is where the gym and TV lounge (with snooker table) are located. The reception and restaurant are in the manor house where breakfast and dinner are served buffet style.
