Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north to Hull and the hotel near the Humber Bridge for a stay of four nights.
Day 2 Enjoy a free morning at leisure in the city of Hull, and with museums being free entry, it is a good way to learn more about the history of this great city. Visit the Wilberforce House, the Maritime Museum or step back in time at the Streetlife Museum of Transport. In the afternoon travel to Sewerby Hall and gardens, uniquely situated in a dramatic clifftop position with spectacular views over Bridlington and set in 50 acres of parkland.
Day 3 Travel to the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, widely seen as a living memorial to the 55,500 men of Bomber Command who lost their lives during WW2. It holds one of the rarest aircraft, an Avro Lancaster Bomber in its collections along with many wartime vehicles including a Ford WOT1 crew bus, the only one of its kind known in existence. Travel on to the Petwood Hotel where we have included a light lunch for you to enjoy. You will then return by way of seaside town of Cleethorpes.
Day 4 Today you will take a drive through some of the towns and villages in the Yorkshire Wolds. First travel to Goole, known as the ‘port in green fields’ because of its inland location. Goole is a sleepy working port with a rich maritime heritage. We have included a boat trip during your visit at the Waterway Museum. Then continue on your journey through the Wolds passing or stopping at places en route such as Pocklington, Driffield and Hornsea.
Day 5 Breakfast, then commence the homeward journey.Back to top
