Shop, sightsee or visit one of the many museums, art galleries or attractions. Also see the pretty Christmas lights displayed in many of the streets. The coach will then depart at approx. 17.30 hours and transfer you to the hotel for an overnight stay.Day 2 After breakfast, you will depart from the hotel and travel to Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. Established in the 11th century by William the Conqueror, it has been remodelled by successive Kings and Queens, including Henry II, Charles II and George IV. Today the castle is used regularly for ceremonial State occasions and Royal weddings. Christmas is a magical time to visit with the State Apartments adorned with glittering decorations, trees and lights to celebrate the festive season. Explore the shops for Christmas gift ideas, inspired by works in the Royal Collections. As dusk falls you will experience the great park with its amazing illuminations. Follow a path through woodland awash with colour as sparkles of fireflies, luminous beacons and dancing fairies blaze the way, the lake alive with flood-lit fountains and glimmering reflections.
