ItineraryDay 1 Morning departure for the journey north and to the seaside town of Whitby for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today will take you through some of the North York Moors National Park by way of Danby to Thirsk. Here you will visit the World of James Herriot. The attraction covers the life and books of the 20th century veterinarian and author James Herriot, within the Yorkshire Dales. You will continue the journey through the Moors by way of Helmsley and Hutton-le-Hoe to Goathland, where the TV series ‘Heartbeat’ was filmed. A short visit here before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 A coastal drive to Robin Hood’s Bay and on to Scarborough for some free time before continuing to Bridlington, a coastal town, nicknamed the "Lobster Capital of Europe”, and home to award winning beaches, and a working pre-Roman harbour. Discover the Old Town where Dads Army the movie was filmed.
Day 4 A day at leisure in Whitby to explore this traditional maritime town featuring historic cobbled streets, picturesque houses, blue flag beaches, galleries and museums.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
