PLEASE NOTE: Price is per person and based on two people sharing a twin/double room. Single room supplements and upgrades are not included.
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north and to the overnight stop at Shap Wells in the Lake District.
Day 2 Continue the journey on into Scotland and up to the West Coast to Oban for a four night stay.
Days 3 to 5 Oban at leisure. Known as ‘The Gateway to the Hebrides’ and the seafood capital of Scotland. A free day for you to explore, perhaps take a stroll along George Street, the main shopping area of the town, leading off are small lanes hiding many independent shops well worth exploring. Or take a walk around the bay with beautiful views across to the Island of Kerrera and beyond. During your stay we have included the following excursions to enhance your visit:- ● A drive along the shoreline of Loch Laich takes you past the mysterious island of Castle Stalker to Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis for some free time. Then travel 4 miles to Neptunes Staircase, where you can see boats of all shapes and sizes navigating the 8 locks of the Caledonian Canal. Continuing to Gairlochy along the side of the canal, stopping at the Commando Monument for photos with a terrific view of Ben Nevis. ● A scenic drive along to the small village of Tyndrum for some free time before travelling through the countryside back to Oban.
Day 6 Today depart Oban and travel back past Loch Lomond to a hotel in the north of England for an overnight stop.
Day 7 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
