ItineraryDusseldorf - Flickr Andres GarciaDay 1 Morning departure for the journey to Dover for the ferry crossing to Calais and on to Valkenburg for a three night stay.
Day 2 Today travel into Germany and to Dusseldorf with festively decorated huts at numerous unique Christmas markets throughout the city centre. Discover all kinds of Christmas delights in over 200 huts, including glittering Christmas tree decorations, distinguished handcrafts, plenty of tasty seasonal treats as well as an ice rink. In the Marktplatz see the lovingly restored 100 year old merrygo- round and also the hand carved life-sized manger from Bethlehem.
Day 3 Valkenburg at leisure. An amazing setting for the Christmas market, as it is held inside several of the town’s caves. You can marvel at the largest crib in Europe and enjoy the festive decorations above ground at Santa’s village. NB: Entrance is included for the Municipal Caves only.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey. Back to top
