Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north to Chester and to the hotel for a four night stay.Day 2 This morning you will explore the historic city of Chester and its compact Christmas market, located outside the city’s beautiful Town Hall Square, opposite Chester Cathedral. Later you will board the Chester Boat and take a two hour cruise down the River Dee. You will be served a cream tea and hot drink as the scenic countryside passes by you.
Day 3 Today you will travel to Manchester and their Christmas Markets, full of festive magic and joy with over 225 stalls across several sites. Piccadilly Gardens will be the heart of the markets which will also transform Market Street, Cathedral Gardens, Exchange Street, New Cathedral Street, St Ann’s Square, Exchange Square, The Corn Exchange and King Street into a Christmas wonderland.
Day 4 This morning you will visit Llangollen, a small town with a wealth of independent shops, bars and restaurants. We have included a 45-minute horse-drawn boat trip at 11.00 hours along the canal towards the Horseshoe Falls. Time to explore and obtain some lunch before leaving for Ellesmere Port for time to explore the National Waterways Museum and visit the café before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.

Your Holiday Hotel
Located just a short walking distance from the city centre, the hotel was built in the 1850’s in homage to Queen Victoria and was the country’s first grand railway hotel with spectacular staircases and regal public areas.
