Itinerary
Torquay HarbourDay 1 Morning departure for the journey west to Devon and to Babbacombe for a four night stay.Day 2 A leisurely drive to Plymouth, where you will enjoy some free time for sightseeing and shopping. Plymouth is one of Britain’s ocean cities, full of maritime history, including the Barbican, Mayflower Steps, Plymouth Hoe and the Merchants House, which is tucked away down St Andrew’s Street.
Day 3 This morning travel to Exmouth where you will enjoy a circular boat trip on the River Exe, with a live commentary on the history of the area. You will then travel to Torquay for free time to explore this popular seaside resort.
Day 4 Today travel to the House of Marbles, in Bovey Tracey, with its working glassworks for a short visit then continuing to Buckfast Abbey for lunch and some free time before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
NB: The night of the festive illuminated return journey on the Dartmouth Steam Railway from Paignton to Kingswear is to be confirmed.
