Itinerary
RAF CosfordDay 1 Morning departure for the journey to the county of Shropshire and the hotel for a three night stay.Day 2 This morning you will travel to Ellesmere with its Mere-side promenade, visitor centre and the Cremorne Gardens where along the woodland walks, art and sculpture trails are there to enjoy. Later you will visit Market Drayton on the River Tern. A historic market town in the middle of Shropshire’s dairy country.
Day 3 Today enjoy a scenic drive through the Shropshire Hills by way of Church Stretton to Stokesay Castle, one of the finest and best-preserved fortified medieval manor houses in England. Discover the Great Hall, unchanged for over 700 years, and also the fairy-tale tower with its breath-taking views. Afterwards travel to Ludlow with its impressive castle, delightful narrow lanes and interesting shops. To finish the day you will board the Severn Valley Railway at Kidderminster for a single scenic journey to Bridgnorth.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and travel to RAF Cosford Museum for a visit before continuing your homeward journey.
