Itinerary

Day 1 Early morning departure for the journey to Dover for the sea crossing to Calais and onwards to Amboise for a four night stay.

Day 2 A morning visit to the magnificent Chateau de Chenonceau, one of the most photographed in the area. Time to wander the beautiful formal gardens including the flower kitchen garden and explore the richly furnished interior rooms. Afterwards you will make a stop in Montrichard before arriving into Blois, the capital of the region. Free time to visit the Royal Palace or to enjoy the House of Magic with its 6 headed dragon automation.

Day 3 A journey through the countryside and enjoy a morning visit to Villandry, which is dominated by the Chateau with its world renowned gardens. Continue onto Tours, situated between the Cher and Loire Rivers. Explore the historic city with its half-timbered wooden houses and street cafes.

Day 4 Today you have time in Amboise to explore and enjoy the included visit to the Chateau du Clos Luce, where Leonardo da Vinci spent his last years. In the afternoon you will visit a local vineyard for a tour and tasting.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
