Day 1 PORTSMOUTH - CHERBOURG To Portsmouth for the 09.00 Brittany Ferries fast craft sailing to Cherbourg and to your hotel in Rennes.
Day 2 RENNES TO BORDEAUX Continue to Bordeaux, to board your ship. Time to settle comfortably in your cabin before presentation of the crew with a welcoming cocktail. Dinner on board followed by evening entertainment.
Day 3 BORDEAUX TO PAUILLAC OR CUSSAC-FORTMEDOC Today head down the Garonne River and then join the Gironde River, passing Cazeau Island and Patiras Island before arriving in Pauillac in time for lunch on board. This afternoon's excursion takes you to visit the Medoc, a renowned region where the most famous of all red wines in the world are cultivated including a wine tasting in a local vineyard. After dinner evening entertainment. Overnight in Pauillac
Day 4 PAUILLAC OR CUSSAC-FORT-MEDOC - GIRONDE ESTUARY - BLAYE Early in the morning, cruise and arriving in Blaye. After lunch set off for your excursion by coach along the Corniche, or cliff route. Narrow and picturesque, the road snakes alongside the River Dordogne before reaching the Gironde Estuary. As you travel along catch a glimpse of charming gardens, ancient fishermen's houses, remarkable dwelling places carved out of the heart of the cliff, not forgetting the famous carrelets, the unique fishermen's huts perched on the wooden stilts on top of the water. Return on board. After dinner evening of dancing. Overnight in Blaye
DAY 5 BLAYE - LIBOURNE OR BOURG - SAINT EMILION Cruise to Libourne. At the confluence of the Isle and the Dordogne, Libourne has accumulated over the centuries a whole heritage. We include an excursion to Saint Emilion. Returning to the ship for a gala dinner. Overnight in port.
DAY 6 LIBOURNE OR BOURG - BORDEAUX Cruise to Bordeaux, arriving later in the morning. From the boulevards to the banks of the Garonne River, half of the city has been recognized for the quality of its architectural heritage. After lunch we have included a 2 hour by foot and coach guided tour of the city. Dinner on board followed by an evening of entertainment by the crew. Overnight in Bordeaux.
DAY 7 BORDEAUX - RENNES Disembark after breakfast. Enjoy your scenic journey that will take you to La Rochelle before continuing to the hotel in Rennes.
DAY 8 RENNES - CAEN - PORTSMOUTH Departing after breakfast and travel to Caen to join the Brittany Ferries 14.00 sailing. Arrive in Portsmouth at 19.15 and return to your pick-up point.
