Day 1 Morning departure to Dover for the sea crossing to Calais, and onwards to the hotel in Zevenbergen for a four night stay.Day 2 Today travel to the beautiful town of Delft, famous for its hand-painted blue and white pottery, see the medieval Oude Kerk and its lively market square. Continue on to Gouda, famed for its cheese making. Visit the compact medieval square complete with the Stadhuis, a magnificent Gothic building, now a museum. Wander round the back streets to find cheese shops, boutiques and craft shops.
Day 3 No tour to Holland is complete without a visit to Amsterdam. A city full of interesting places to visit. First we have included a visit to Gassan Diamonds to see how these magnificent gems are hand crafted into the diamonds that we all know. You then have plenty of time to explore the city. At 19.30 join a 11⁄2 hour canal cruise with a guide and enjoy a glass of wine and cheese, as you cruise along. Returning to the hotel late evening (dinner not included tonight).
Day 4 A visit to Rotterdam where you can enjoy the old and new architecture and museums. After lunch you will travel to Kinderdijk, known for its iconic 18th century windmills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the only place in the world where you can find so many windmills in a small area. Time to explore some of the windmills before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey. Back to top
