Itinerary
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Colchester and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 A half day ‘step on’ guided tour of Constable Country which will include East Bergholt, Flatford Mill and Dedham Vale. In the afternoon travel to Ipswich and enjoy a one hour river trip from Orwell Quay.
Day 3 An excursion to the ‘chocolate box village’ of Lavenham with its beautiful half-timbered buildings, stunning Guildhall and crooked houses. In the afternoon you will visit Gainsborough’s House, birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough, dating around 1500 with many interesting features, garden and collection of his work.
Day 4 Today you will travel to the Food Museum in Stowmarket, where there is so much to see and do. There are 84 acres, 17 historic buildings and thousands of objects to see. Experience the world of school dinners past, present and future as memories and tastes of school dinners are brought to life through their annual exhibition. Departing mid-afternoon for the journey back to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey
