Itinerary

Day 1 Morning departure and travel to the hotel for a four night stay. Tea/coffee will be served on arrival.

Day 2 Scenic drive of the Ladybower Reservoir with dramatic views of the Upper Derwent Valley at the very heart of the Peak District National Park to the pretty village of Castleton. Return to the hotel for a cream tea followed by time to relax or use the hotels leisure facilities.

Day 3 Spend the morning exploring the picturesque spa town of Buxton. After time for lunch, continue on to join the Churnet Valley Railway for a relaxing heritage train ride through Staffordshire's picturesque countryside on the very outskirts of the Peak District.

Day 4 This morning travel to the Thornbridge Estate, surrounded by 10 acres of gardens in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Have a fascinating insight into the history of the estate and enjoy a tour the house which takes in a number of spectacular rooms including The Great Hall, The Carriage House, and The Music Room, which all featured in the 2026 drama 'Runaway'. After a light soup and sandwich lunch, enjoy some free time exploring the gardens. Later visit the largest town in the Peak District, Bakewell with its rich heritage and mellow stone buildings.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
