Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north to Northumbria to Alnwick for a four night stay.
Day 2 After a leisurely breakfast you will travel along the Northumberland coast to your first stop in the pretty harbour of Seahouses. A long history of fishing makes this village both fascinating and beautiful. Experience the local wildlife, enjoy fresh fish and chips and take a scenic walk along the harbour. After enjoying some free time here, you will continue along the coast to Bamburgh Castle for a visit. Once home to the Kings of Northumbria, this spectacular castle offers 14 rooms with over 3,000 items of art, armour, furniture, porcelain and china. Entertainment provided tonight will be either quiz or bingo
Day 3 Today is free to explore the traditional medieval market town of Alnwick at your own leisure. See St Michaels Church, Bailiffgate Museum, Hotspur Gin, the Cheese Room or Barter Books, one of the largest second handbook shops in England. Before dinner tonight you will enjoy gin tasting.
Day 4 This morning you will visit Woodhorn Museum, the North East’s last remaining coal mining-built heritage village.
