Itinerary
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to North Wales and to Caernarfon for a four night stay.Day 2 Today you will travel over the Menai Bridge to the Isle of Anglesey and on to Beaumaris, a captivating seaside town, with a mix of medieval Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture, and of course its medieval castle and Victorian pier. During your visit we have included a return boat cruise to Puffin Island. Afterwards you will visit one of North Wales’ best kept secrets, the hidden gardens of Plas Cadnant, situated at the side of the Menai Strait, hidden from view near to Menai Bridge on the Isle of Anglesey.
Day 3 This morning you will visit the lovely village of Portmeirion, situated on a private peninsula overlooking stunning coastal scenery, the Italian Riviera meets rural Wales with colour and architectural styles. Explore the lovely terraced gardens, picturesque village and shops. In the afternoon you will travel to Llanuwchllyn where you will board the Bala Lake Railway for a journey along the southern shoreline of Lake Bala, the largest natural lake in Wales to Bala, enjoying magnificent views of the lake and beautiful Snowdonia National Park.
Day 4 A drive through some of the National Parks’ stunning scenery. First to Llanberis for some free time before travelling to Betws-y-Coed, a bustling mountain resort at the gateway to Snowdonia. Returning to Beddgelert for a little free time to explore the village.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
