Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Cornwall and to the hotel in Lostwithiel for a four night stay.
Days 2 to 4 ● A visit to Fowey, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its beautiful harbour. Then on to Charlestown, which in some Poldark scenes played the role of the principal town. Wander along the side of the original Grade ll listed harbour, and you can almost imagine that you’ve been cast as an extra in the TV series. Then travel to Truro to enjoy a cruise across to Falmouth for some free time before returning to the hotel. ● A visit to Looe, a delightful fishing town, made up of East and West Looe, which face each other across the river. Relax and watch the world go by, explore its many gift shops or enjoy a local boat trip. To Polperro next, a maze of lanes and alleyways lead down to the traditional fishing village and unspoilt harbour, a true slice of Cornish beauty, where you can visit art and craft galleries and its very own Heritage Museum of Smuggling. ● An excursion to Jamaica Inn, high up on the wild and beautiful Bodmin Moor and made world-famous by Daphne du Maurier’s tale of smugglers, rogues and wreckers. Visit the Smugglers’ Museum, where tales of wreckers, murderers and villains are brought to life. You will also enjoy a leisurely train ride through beautiful countryside, taking in the sights, sounds and smells of a bygone age.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
