itineraryItinerary Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Derby and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 This morning you will visit the superb Crich Tramway Village, a period village museum transports you back in time with cobbled streets and the gentle rumble of passing trams. The Tramway Street hosts many period features such as shops, ice cream parlour, tearooms and more. Catch a lovingly restored tram for a ride down the street and out into the Derbyshire countryside. After lunch you will travel to Cromford and enjoy a 2 hour return boat trip on the Cromford Canal.
Day 3 Today you will travel to thermal spa town of Buxton located in the centre of the Peak District, famous Georgian and Victorian architecture as well as stunning ornamental gardens provide the perfect place for some leisure time and lunch. You will then travel by way of Glossop to start the scenic drive along the Snake Pass and enjoy magnificent views of the Ladybower Reservoir, which along with the Derwent and Howden reservoirs was made famous during WWll when it was used by the Dambusters RAF squadron to practice low level flying techniques. You will then visit the village of Castleton, known as the ‘Gem of the Peaks’ before returning to the hotel.
Day 4 This morning travel to Bakewell, idyllically situated on the banks of the River Wye and the largest town in the National Park. Here you will enjoy a 60 minutes pudding making experience at the Olde Original Bakewell Pudding Shop, where you will assemble your own pudding to take home and we have included a cuppa whilst you wait for the puddings to bake. Free time to wander round this lovely town. Then you will visit the stunning Chatsworth House and Gardens, where you can stroll around the house at your own pace and visit the extensive gardens including the historic Cascade.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
