Scenic Yorkshire

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north into West Yorkshire and the hotel for a four night stay.

Days 2 to 4 We have included the following excursions:

• A visit to the pretty town of Holmfirth where the rivers Holme and Ribble meet. It featured for many years in the long running sit-com ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ and retains the quaint charm of bygone years. From here you will travel by way of Glossop and on to Castleton in the Peak District for some free time to enjoy your surroundings before returning to the hotel.

• Today journey through some of West Yorkshire's most famous towns and villages. The first stop will be Ilkley, a traditional Yorkshire spa town on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with its Victorian architecture and famous moor which rises dramatically behind the town. Continue on to join the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, where you can enjoy the return journey through Bronte Country. Afterwards re-join the coach and make a final stop in Hebden Bridge located in the Upper Calder Valley and a filming location for the popular TV series, Happy Valley. Time to look around the Bohemian streets before returning to the hotel.

• A morning visit to Knaresborough, with its ancient walkways, cobbled alleys, magnificent viaduct and breathtaking countryside views. Time to explore before travelling to the Victorian spa town of Harrogate for the afternoon.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey
