Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to the north of England and to your hotel for an overnight stop.
Day 2 Continuing the journey up into Scotland to Blairs, Aberdeen and to the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 3 Today visit Balmoral Castle. Set amongst the magnificent scenery, in the shadows of Lochnagar is Balmoral Castle, the Queen’s Royal Residence, and described by Queen Victoria as ‘my dear paradise in the Highlands’. To make the most of your visit we have arranged for a local guide to take you on a tour of the castle and grounds, telling you tales along the way. On the return there is free time in the riverside Deeside town of Ballater.
Day 4 Travel over the mountain tops and through Lecht and Tomintoul, visiting Grantown on Spey before heading along Speyside’s famous ‘Malt Whisky Trail’- the worlds most recognised and well known whisky region. Enjoy a dedicated tour and tasting with a whisky expert before returning through Grampian Highland scenery.
Day 5 Firstly travel to Banchory where the ‘Castle Trail’ starts. You will visit Crathes Castle and Gardens with its turrets and towers, winding staircases, ornate ceilings, 240 hectares of formal gardens and its resident ghost! The 50 miles castle trail, has more castles per acres than anywhere else in the UK. Free time in the ‘Granite City’ of Aberdeen before returning to the hotel.
Day 6 Depart for the return journey to the north of England for your overnight stop.
Day 7 Breakfast, then commence the homeward journey.Back to top
