Edinburgh Military TattooDay 1 Early morning departure for the journey to Perth and a four night stay.Day 2 First visit today is to Stirling Castle, take an audio guided tour of the refurbished rooms of the Royal Palace, a chance to see how it may have looked when it was the childhood home of Mary Queen of Scots. In the afternoon you will visit Crieff, a traditional Scots market town set amidst Perthshire’s stunning scenery, with Royal connections throughout its history up to the current day.
Day 3 Morning at leisure to explore Perth, and following lunch at the hotel, instead of dinner, you will depart early afternoon to Edinburgh for free time to explore and obtain dinner before the Military Tattoo which commences at 21.00 hours. An unforgettable experience of the sights and sounds of pipes and drums and many more performers against the back drop of the magnificent Edinburgh Castle.
Day 4 After a leisurely breakfast, you will travel to Scone Palace, which has been the seat of parliaments and the crowning place of the Kings of Scotland including Robert the Bruce, full of outstanding antiques, paintings and rare artefacts. In the afternoon visit Dundee, officially Scotland’s sunniest city with a fast-changing revitalised waterfront the centrepiece of which is the striking V&A Museum. Time to explore before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
