ItineraryCredit Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo
Day 1 Early morning departure for the journey to Perth and a four night stay.
Day 2 First visit today is Stirling Castle and take an audio guided tour of the refurbished rooms of the Royal Palace that reveals how it may have looked when it was the childhood home of Mary Queen of Scots. In the afternoon you will visit Scone Palace, which has been the seat of parliaments and the crowning place of the Kings of Scots including Robert The Bruce, full of outstanding antiques, paintings and rare artefacts.
Day 3 Today you will visit Leith, home to the Royal Yacht Britannia. An audio tour leads you through the five decks, giving you a fascinating insight into the lives of the Royal Family. Afterwards you will be transferred into the city of Edinburgh for free time to explore. Why not visit Holyrood Palace, the official
residence of HM The Queen, perhaps one of the National Galleries or just take a stroll along Princes Street with gardens on one side and major shops on the other. AUGUST DATE ONLY: Following lunch at the hotel, instead of dinner, you will depart early afternoon to Edinburgh for free time to explore and obtain dinner before the Military Tattoo commences at 21.00 hours. An unforgettable experience of the sights and sounds of pipes and drums and many more performers against the back drop of the magnificent Edinburgh Castle.
Day 4 Morning at leisure to have a wander around Perth before an afternoon visit to Crieff, a traditional Scots market town set amidst Perthshire’s stunning scenery, with royal connections throughout its history up to the current day.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
