itineraryItinerary Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Royal Leamington Spa for a visit before continuing the journey to the hotel in Newton Solney, a short distance from Burton upon Trent, for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today you will enjoy a scenic drive into the stunning Peak District, by way of Leek and Whaley Bridge to Glossop. Then travel through the Snake Pass to Ladybower Reservoir taking in some breath-taking views along the way (subject to the Pass being open) and on to Castleton for some free time before returning to hotel.
Day 3 You will travel to the edge of the Peak District to Matlock for some free time, before joining the Peak Railway for a single nostalgic journey back in time through the Derbyshire countryside to Rowley. You will then be taken to Bakewell, idyllically situated on the banks of the River Wye and well known for the ‘Bakewell Pudding’.
Day 4 A morning visit to the town of Derby for some free time before visiting Sudbury Hall and the National Trust Museum of Childhood. Explore this historic country home and discover how the hall was created. Situated in the Hall’s old service wing is the Museum of Childhood, where you can relive nostalgic memories. Returning to the hotel late afternoon.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
