Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Oxfordshire and to hotel in Banbury for a four night stay.
Day 2 A scenic drive into the Cotswolds, steeped in history. First visit is the quintessential village of Broadway, often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’ with its picturesque High Street lined with golden- hued stone buildings and tea rooms. You will then travel to Stow-on-the Wold with its many fine antique shops, galleries and gift and craft shops for some free time before heading back to Banbury by way of Chipping Norton.
Day 3 Today you will visit Waddesdon Manor, a French Renaissance chateau, inspired by those in the Loire Valley built by a Rothschild in the 19th century and filled with royal treasures and many objects with an exceptional story to tell. So much to see and explore in the house along with the gardens.
Day 4 This morning you will visit Oxford the ‘City of Dreaming Spires’ home to magnificent architecture and history, famous literary figures and unique traditions. Time for you to explore and visit one of the many historic buildings, colleges or museums. After lunch you will return to Banbury for free time to explore the charming streets and historic buildings.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey
