Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Nottingham and to the hotel for a three night stay.Day 2 A day at leisure exploring Nottingham’s Winter Wonderland where you will find its markets have expanded with a greater variety of stalls and gifts. Plenty of places to relax and fuel up on refreshments from:- mulled wine or hot chocolate along with tasty bratwurst sausage. There will be lots of independent traders offering something for everyone including artisan cheeses, homemade chutneys and mead. You could also explore Nottingham’s Castle Museum and Gallery or the National Justice Museum.
Day 3 This morning you will visit Newstead Abbey, former home of the poet Lord Byron, where you will walk through the historic house with its Christmas theme. Afterwards you will indulge in a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and a festive dessert. There will also be craft stalls in the medieval cloisters of the abbey offering a range of gifts and treats. Returning mid-afternoon to Nottingham.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journe
