Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to North Devon and Ilfracombe for a four night stay.
Day 2 A visit to the twin village of Lynton and Lynmouth. Lynton is situated 600ft above Lynmouth and is connected by a water powered cliff railway. Continuing on through the Exmoor Forest to Porlock and then onto Minehead. Time to explore this Somerset town before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 Today you will visit the market town of Barnstaple, the oldest borough in England and at one time the only port in the South West. Then onto Tiverton, set on the banks of the Great Western Canal, with its romantic castles, historic houses and horse drawn barges, and is full of history and heritage. We have included a visit to the Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life. Here you will explore the museum’s large, outstanding collections and trace the fascinating history of Mid Devon.
Day 4 Today enjoy a visit to the historic fishing village of Clovelly. A traffic free cobbled street heads you down a steep hill to the ancient fishing harbour with glorious views on the way, of flower-bedecked cottages, winding side-alleys and Clovelly’s famous donkeys on the way. Also a chance to visit the craft workshops, gift shops and the Clovelly Court Gardens at the top of the village.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.Back to top
