Day 1 Morning departure to travel to Lichfield. Lichfield has a rich and varied history, with Georgian museums including the Samuel Johnson Birthplace and Erasmus Darwin House through to the stunning medieval Lichfield Cathedral which is well worth a visit. After free time you will depart for the hotel and a two night stay.Day 2 Today you will experience the inspiring National Memorial Arboretum featuring nearly 400 thought- provoking memorials, in 150-acres of grounds nestled amongst lush and maturing woodland, and featuring over 25,000 trees. Some memorials are made in glass and steel, to bronze and stone in all shapes and sizes. The memorials are diverse in nature, rich in symbolism and represent a broad population of society, from military associations and charities to the emergency services, fraternity groups and individuals. Each year new memorials are added so there is always something new to see. Returning to the hotel late afternoon.
Day 3 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
