Holiday ItineraryRoyal Welsh Crystal
Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Wales and to Llandrindod Wells for a stay of four nights.
Day 2 Today embark on a return train journey from Pant to Torpantau. The journey takes you into the Brecon Beacons along the Taf Fechan Reservoir before climbing to Torbantau. On the return journey a 25 minute stop will be made at Pontsticill so that you can visit the steam museum. On re-boarding the coach you will then travel through the rugged beauty of the Brecons to the town of Brecon for a late lunch and free time. Visit the Regimental Museum of the Royal Welsh, with a collection of military artefacts before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 Today’s first stop is Rhayader and a visit to the Royal Welsh Crystal. The workshop produces hand crafted full lead crystal glassware. Then travel around the magnificent Elan Valley dams and on to the town of Aberystwyth for some free time before travelling along the coastal road to Aberaeron, then inland through Lampeter, Llandovery and Llanwryrtdy Wells then back to the hotel.
Day 4 A morning free to enjoy the surroundings and use the hotel facilities. In the afternoon a visit to Abbey Cwm Hir Hall, a Grade II listed property, one of Wales’ finest examples of Victorian Gothic Revival Architecture. Enjoy a private guided tour of the house by a family member. (Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes).
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
