Liverpool, Royal Liver Building & Southport

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Liverpool for a four night stay.

Days 2 to 4 We have included the following excursions:

• Today join your guide for a familiarisation tour of the city taking in the main sights before a visit to the Royal Liver Building, adorned by two Liver Birds which are the city’s signature landmark. Explore the building through the 360 Tour - a fully guided experience that includes access to the historic clocktower, an immersive audio-visual show and panoramic views of the city and waterfront from the 15th floor viewing platform. Local legend holds that if the two birds were to ever fly away, Liverpool would cease to exist.

• After a leisurely breakfast make the short walk to the Royal Albert Dock. Time to browse the many shops or visit one of the free museums before joining the ‘Floating Grace’ at midday for a cruise of Liverpool’s historic docks and marina whilst enjoying afternoon tea.

• This morning, travel to Crosby Beach to see Anthony Gormleys world famous ‘Another Place’, 100 iron men sculptures that face towards the sea. Afterwards continue on to Southport to discover Lord Street, a Victorian canopied boulevard with a charming, unique style all of its own. Then perhaps take a stroll along the UK’s second longest pier with a traditional penny arcade at the end (a road train is available – payable locally). Return to Liverpool for some time at leisure.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart hotel and commence the homeward journe
