ItineraryItinerary Day 1 Morning departure for the journey into Lincolnshire and to Grantham for a four night stay.
Day 2 A day excursion to the city of Cambridge. The city has inspired academics, philosophers, historians and economists throughout history, from John Milton to Charles Darwin and Stephen Hawking. Let it inspire you too, with its grand college buildings, medieval churches, museums, galleries, gardens and parks, and punting on the Cam along The Backs.
Day 3 This morning you will travel into Nottinghamshire and to Wollaton Hall and Deer Park. You will be taken on a guided hidden history tour of the Prospect room, the Tudor Kitchens and Admiral Bath to hear the tales and discover the characters of the hall. Afterwards you will have time to visit the gardens and see the red and fallow deer.
NB: There will be steps involved during the tour.
After the visit you will travel to Grantham, birthplace of Britain’s first female Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher and Sir Isaac Newton for free time before returning to the hotel.
Day 4 Today you will visit Lincoln with its magnificent Cathedral and Norman Castle. First you will be taken on a familiarisation tour of the city on the coach and then you will have free time to explore the old town with its little alleyways and interesting shops.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
