Lincoln Cathedral - Visit England/Visit Lincoln

Belton House By Giano ©

Nottingham City Centre

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to Grantham and to the hotel for a stay of four nights.

Day 2 A day tour to historic Lincoln, rich in history combined with independent boutique shopping and great arts and culture. Certain areas of the city are easily walkable – the main shopping and tourist area stretches from St Marks in the south up to the Cathedral Quarter, known locally as ‘Uphill’. Steep Hill, voted Britain’s Great Street connects ‘downhill’ and ‘uphill’ Lincoln. It is steep as its name suggests, but well worth the walk.

Day 3 Enjoy a day in Nottingham, with its compact city centre, pedestrianised streets and tram system. It is also known as the home of Robin Hood, and during your visit, we have included a guided tour of this ancient city.

Day 4 Today travel to Belton House, used by the BBC as a setting for Rosings Park in the TV series – ‘Pride and Prejudice’. Then continuing onto Boston with its famous landmark, St Botolph’s Church, known as “The Stump” for a short visit before returning by way of Stamford, a bustling, prosperous market town, with a wide range of shops and attractions.

Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
