Lancashire Coast & Blackpool Afternoon Tea

Day 1 Moring departure to travel north to Lancashire, arriving late afternoon at the hotel for a four night stay.

Days 2 to 4 We have included the following ‘shore excursions’:

• This morning, head to 18th Century Lytham Hall - the finest Georgian House in Lancashire. It was once the ancestral home of the colourful Clifton Family, who were accused of conspiracy during the Lancashire plot to restore James II to the throne. Enjoy a guided tour which tells more of the history of the family and takes in beautiful plasterwork, Gillow furniture, and historic paintings. Time afterwards to explore the mature parkland surrounding the hall. In the afternoon, return to the hotel with time to relax, wander around the elegant parks and gardens or take a stroll along the restored Victorian Pier.

• Today visit the market town of Bury, with its famous award-winning market. Browse around the stalls and sample some local delicacies. This afternoon visit the famous Oswaldtwistle Mills shopping village, the iconic former weaving mill which has over 100 retailers under one roof, as well as restaurants, ice cream parlour, craft centre, and even a Textile and Heritage Museum.

• Take the short journey to Lancashire’s famous seaside resort of Blackpool. No trip to would be complete without a visit to the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom where you can enjoy live music from the Mighty Wurlitzer and an Afternoon Tea Experience. The rest of the day is free to explore Blackpool at leisure.

Day 5 Depart after breakfast and begin the homeward journey.
