Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north to the Lake District and to Grange-over-Sands for a four night stay.
Day 2 Scenic drive to the market town of Keswick, surrounded by the Skiddaw mountains for some free time to explore, before returning to Grange-over-Sands and more free time.
Day 3 Travelling into the scenic lakes to Glenridding for a cruise on Ullswater, views of the fells and mountains are stunning from all angles with spectacular glimpses of Helvelly and the Ullswater Valley. On disembarkation, travel to the Rheged Centre for a lunch stop and time to wander round the centre before continuing to Lowther Castle and gardens. Enjoy a guided tour through the ruins of this castle and the 130 acres of gardens.
Day 4 Today you embark on a journey through the Leven Valley on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway to Lakeside, established as a steamer pier for services along the lake. From here you will cruise along Windermere to Bowness, a sprawling tourist town, where you can relax in its delightful setting. Free time to enjoy lunch and take a stroll around the town before departing for the return journey to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
