Market Harborough Old Grammar School www.flickr.com Steve CadmanDay 1 Morning departure for the journey to Leicester and the hotel for a four night stay.Day 2 This morning leave for Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre for a self-guided tour. The centre is a colourful multi award winning interactive exhibition telling the story of the Battle of Bosworth. In the afternoon you will head back into Leicester for a visit to the King Richard III Discovery Centre. Using great storytelling, design and 21st century technology, the centre tells the fascinating and moving story of the King’s, life, death and one of the greatest archaeological detective stories ever told.
Day 3 Morning at leisure in Leicester, a meet and greet service has been arranged to tell you about what you can see in the city. After lunch you will visit Market Harborough, a charming market town full of history, culture, food and independent retailers. Whilst there be sure to visit the iconic stilted Old Grammar School in the town centre or the memorial gardens, displaying a memorial statue.
Day 4 Today you head for Belvoir Castle. Your self- guided tour will give you access to the castle and its stunning grounds. The afternoon will be spent in stunning Melton Mowbray for some free time before joining a pie making class and learn how to make your own pork pie.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
