Courtesy of Chatham Historic DockyardDay 1 Morning departure for the journey to Kent and to the hotel for a three night stay.
Day 2 If you are a fan of the hit series and you have been wondering where Call the Midwife is filmed, put yourself in the picture and explore where the real drama happens with a Call the Midwife Official Location Tour at The Historic Dockyard Chatham. Walk in the footsteps of Nurse Trixie Franklin, Sister Julienne and Dr Turner and explore where the real drama happens. The walking tour is led by your very own costumed midwife. Along the tour you will recognise the cobbled streets and buildings of ‘Poplar’ plus iconic locations such as the Grosvenor Hotel and ‘Chummy’s Hill’, where Nurse Noakes famously learnt to ride her bike. With a picture book to help trigger your memories, you’ll see just how the production team transforms 400 year old Chatham dockyard into East London. The tour culminates with the exclusive Call the Midwife exhibition containing sets, props and costumes. Your ticket will also enable you to explore the Dockyard.
NB: This is a walking tour with some uneven surfaces, please ensure you wear comfortable foot wear. It is wheelchair friendly but please advise us in advance if you have any mobility issues and we will accommodate you the best we can.
Day 3 You will head to Faversham for a visit before continuing to Canterbury. A city with six museums, seven art galleries, one abbey, one castle and a cathedral. So much for you to explore before returning to the hotel.
Day 4 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey
