Day 1 Morning departure to Portsmouth for the ferry to Fishbourne and on to Ryde for some free time before travelling to Sandown and the hotel for a stay of four or five nights.

Days 2 to 4 We have included the following excursions:

• Day tour to Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s family holiday home. From sumptuous interiors and art collections inside, peaceful beach, marvellous gardens and the unusual Swiss Cottage.

• A return steam train ride from Havenstreet to Wootton. This is followed by a visit to Mottistone Gardens and Estate, set in a sheltered valley, the magical gardens are full of surprises, with shrub-filled banks, hidden pathways and colourful herbaceous borders.

• Your island tour includes a visit to the quaint town of Yarmouth and the yachting mecca of Cowes, where you will enjoy a 35 minute cruise around Cowes harbour.

Day 5 A day at leisure in Sandown will apply if you are on the 6 day holiday.

Day 5/6 After breakfast, depart the hotel and travel to Fishbourne for the sailing to Portsmouth and commence your homeward journey.
