Powerscourt Waterfall - WicklowDay 1 Morning departure for the journey to Pembroke and the crossing to Rosslare. Travelling onto Enniscorthy and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today you will travel to the Mill Avoca Village built on the banks of the Avoca River from where it used to draw its power. You will find a large shopping area, café and a working hand weaving mill. It is the oldest surviving working mill in Ireland and in the village where the TV series Ballykissangel was filmed. After free time you will then travel to Powerscourt Estate, one of Ireland’s most famous tourist attractions, you will have time to explore the beautiful gardens and the house which is full of history.
Day 3 You will travel to Waterford, Ireland’s oldest Viking city with hidden gems in this lovely part of Ireland. We have included a guided factory tour of Waterford Crystal, here you will see how this famous glass is made. You will have some free time before travelling to Kilmeadan to board the Waterford & Suire Valley Railway, a heritage narrow gauge railway for a return journey to Bilberry. Take in the panoramic views of the river, rolling farmland and mountains as they pass by.
Day 4 Travel to Kilkenny, many people class it as the greatest city in Ireland, a medieval time capsule built around its magnificent castle and recently named Ireland’s Tidiest Town. Why not get your bearings and see the sights aboard the local road train.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
