Day 1 Early morning departure for the journey north, over the border and on to the Trossachs/Stirling area for an overnight stop.
Day 2 Today you make the journey through the Trossachs and Scotland’s outdoor capital; Glencoe. and into the Scottish Highlands before arriving at your hotel in Fort William for a two night stay.
Day 3 Today you will travel to Oban, known as ‘The Gateway to the Isles’ and one of Scotland’s most popular and picturesque resorts. Oban is set on a wide, curving esplanade enjoying views across to the Isle of Kerrera and beyond, to Mull. Free time to explore the town before returning along the shoreline of Loch Linnhe.
Day 4 After breakfast, you depart the hotel and Fort William taking the scenic drive along the Great Glen before turning on to the Skye road. Before reaching Skye there is time for a photo stop at Eilean Donan Castle. Travelling on the drive passes the lofty Cullin Mountain Range before arriving in Uig for the afternoon sailing to the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Visit the Sound of Taransay before continuing the drive on to the Isle of Lewis and to Stornoway for a two night stay at the Caladh Inn.
Day 5 Today a local and experienced guide will join the coach for an amazing day excursion around the Hebrides. This unforgettable trip takes in a landscape of pretty moorlands, sheer cliffs, sandy bays and incorporates a stop at the Standing Stones of Callanish, an antiquity of the Bronze Age. You will also visit the ‘Blackhouses’ and plenty of other areas of interest.
Day 6 This morning enjoy a trip to the Butt of Lewis, before boarding the ferry for the sailing back to the Scottish mainland and Ullapool. Travel through the majestic Highland scenery, much of it on the acclaimed Route 500 arriving in Inverness for some free time. Turning south, the scenery changes as your journey continues through the spectacular scenery of the Spey Valley arriving at your hotel in the Stirling area for an overnight stop.
Day 7 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey.
