Itinerary
Day 1 Morning departure to Harrogate and the hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today you will travel to Skipton, known as the ‘Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’, for some free time to explore the town before boarding a traditional narrow boat for a 2 hour cruise on the Leeds and Liverpool canal and you will be served award-winning Yorkshire fish and chips, freshly wrapped in paper and served straight to your table. Sit back and enjoy your meal whilst travelling through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Afterwards you will travel back to Harrogate by way of Ilkley and Otley, which is better known as the fictional market town of Hotton, where filming takes place for the Emmerdale TV soap.
Day 3 A scenic drive into the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. Travelling first by way of Leyburn passing through some wonderful scenery to Hawes, England’s highest market town which stands between the stunning Buttertubs and Fleet Moss areas of the Dales. Continuing to Settle, where you will pass the magnificent Ribblehead Viaduct before visiting Grassington.
Day 4 Morning visit to Knaresborough, a warren of medieval streets and stone staircases that weave their way up and down the hill. The town centre is perched on the cliffs above the River Nidd and the imposing railway viaduct. Free time before returning to Harrogate for the afternoon where you can stroll around the pretty gardens or visit the famous Betty’s Tearoom.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journe
