We are returning to the world-famous West Country Illuminated carnivals! Watch a dazzling procession of floats and performers pass by lit up with up to 25,000 light bulbs, including mechanical parts, routines set to music and with spectacular costumes. Whilst enjoying a turkey and tinsel theme at the hotel.

Itinerary

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to the Swindon Designer Outlet, a covered outlet with over 105 stores in the restored Great Western railway works. In the eating area, a steam locomotive that was built in Swindon is on display. Afterwards you will continue to Weston-Super- Mare and the hotel for a three night stay.

Day 2 Morning at leisure to explore the town, visit the famous pier and hopefully take a stroll along the promenade before returning to the hotel to enjoy a Christmas lunch at 13.30 hours. Afterwards, it is time to wrap up warm and depart for Glastonbury. Here you can explore and soak up the atmosphere, but do not forget to take up your positions early for the carnival. At 19.00 hours the procession begins, and a spectacular sight awaits you. Returning to the hotel late evening.

Day 3 A scenic drive through some of Somerset’s beautiful countryside with a visit to the city of Wells, with its magnificent Cathedral. Then travel into the scenic Cheddar Gorge with a chance to visit the famous caves, Britain’s most spectacular underground natural wonder.

Day 4 After breakfast, you will depart for Street to visit the outlet village for lunch and shopping before continuing the homeward journey.
