Festive Berrington Hall & The Heart Of Wales

Day 1 Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Llandrindod Wells and arrive in the afternoon at the Metropole Hotel for a four night stay.

Days 2 – 4 We have included the following excursions for you to enjoy:-

• This morning, begin with a drive to the Elan Valley and the Dams Visitor Centre for a short break. Returning to Llandrindod Wells in time to obtain lunch in the town before a visit to the National Cycle Museum in Llandrindod Wells and journey through the lanes of cycle history. See bicycles from 1818, such as the Hobby Horse, Boneshakers and Penny Farthings, up to the most modern carbon fibre machines of today. 

• This morning travel to the historic City of Hereford, with its magnificent Cathedral, delightful architecture and lots of interesting little side streets. Afterwards, carry on to Berrington Hall. The festively decorated Georgian neo-classical mansion offers a magical experience which is full of warmth and joy to experience Christmas in the 18th century.

• This morning begin journey south to the medieval town of Brecon situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Enjoy some free time here to take in the surroundings. In the afternoon, a drive further into the national park, taking in the picturesque scenery and heading on to Penderyn Distillery, home to Wales’ most famous whisky. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of the distillery followed by a tasting of some Penderyn whisky.

Day 5 After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
