This popular summer destination and hotel which we have now added to our winter programme. Based in Eastbourne, where East and West Sussex are rich in history and culture.

ItineraryRye (1066 Country)
Day 1 Morning departure and the journey to Arundel for a break before continuing to Eastbourne for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today you travel to Hever Castle and gardens, a charming 13th century doublemoated castle containing a Tudor manor house within its walls. Famous as the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII’s second wife and mother of Elizabeth I. Time to explore before returning to the hotel by way of Royal Tunbridge Wells for a short visit.
Day 3 A free day to explore the museums and art galleries, shop, stroll along the promenade or visit the lovely Victorian pier with its new walkway and facilities.
Day 4 A scenic drive into 1066 country to Hastings, with ancient churches, Victorian buildings, unique fishing quarter, museums and narrow streets for a visit before continuing to Rye, with its quaint cobbled streets and historic half-timbered buildings. Enjoy time to explore before returning to the charming market town of Battle with its Abbey and Battlefield.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and follow the coastal road through Newhaven and Peacehaven to Brighton for a lunch stop before continuing the homeward journey.
