Day 1 Morning departure to travel to Retford, arriving late afternoon for a three night stay.
Day 2 This morning you will visit Newark-on-Trent where it is Market Day. Perhaps visit the National Civil War Centre, Newark Castle or search for a bargain at one of the many antique centres in town. This afternoon continue to the city of Lincoln with its magnificent cathedral and Norman Castle. The old town is a labyrinth of little alleyways and interesting shops to explore.
Day 3Happy Easter! After a leisurely breakfast, journey to Belvoir Castle, chosen to represent Windsor Castle in Netflix’s hit series ‘The Crown’. Set high on a hill with panoramic views, you will enjoy a guided tour of the castle, followed by time to explore the beautiful landscaped gardens at leisure.
Day 4 After breakfast, commence the homeward journey.
