Day 1 Morning departure for the journey to County Durham and to Redworth, the hotel, for a four night stay.
Day 2 Today travel north to Chester-le-Street and the famous Beamish Open Air Museum, to experience life of over 70 years ago. Trams ply the authentic streets, you can see the dentist, the post office, the general store, and many other attractions.
Day 3 Firstly today you will Explore open treasure, Durham Cathedral's new world-class exhibition experience. Discover 2,000 years of history on a journey from the medieval Monks’ Dormitory to the monastic Great Kitchen, as the remarkable story of the Northern Saints and Durham Cathedral is revealed through the Cathedral’s incredible and historic collections. After the visit you will have the rest of the day free to explore this Cathedral City.
Day 4 A tour of the Durham Dales and Yorkshire Dales with a local guide. An interesting day out that combines glorious scenery with rich history and some quirky little places to see.
Day 5 After breakfast, commence the homeward journey.
