Ladybower ReservoirDay 1 Morning departure for the journey to Mickleover, Derbyshire and the hotel for a four night stay.
Days 2 to 4 We have included the following excursions:-
• Travel to the thermal spa town of Buxton, home of Buxton Water. You will begin with the Buxton Crescent Experience guided tour, set within the stunning Grade 1 listed crescent building, consisting of nine themed rooms and explore more than 10,000 years of history. Afterwards time for lunch at the Pavilion Gardens (not included) before embarking on a half day step-on guided tour of the ‘Hidden Villages,’ taking in some of the charming locations in Derbyshire.
• Today you will enjoy a scenic drive into the stunning Peak District first by way of Ladybower Reservoir taking in some breath-taking views and onto Castleton, one of the most beautifully situated villages nestled in the hills of Hope Valley on the banks of Peakshole Water. Free time to explore and have lunch before continuing to Eyam Plague Village to visit the museum where in 1665 the village cut itself off from the outside world when the plague arrived in a parcel sent to the local tailor.
• A visit to the World of Wedgwood where you will enjoy a factory tour for a behind-the-scenes experience where they reveal how Wedgwood is designed, created and crafted. Then time to visit the Wedgwood Tea Room for some lunch before returning to Derby for a look around the town before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 After breakfast, depart the hotel and commence the homeward journey
